You can create 2 different types of accounts, personal and business.

Regarding the debts.

  • Create an expense category called “Debts”.
  • Add as subcategories the persons/companies that owes you money.
  • Create an income category called “Debts Repayment”.
  • Add as subcategories the persons/companies that owes you money.

When you give someone a debt

  • Now create a new expense transaction
  • Select “Debt” category and the person that owes you money
  • Add some notes to remember what was all about.
  • Save

When someone pays you back

  • Create a new income transaction
  • Select “Debt Repayment” category and the person that owes you money
  • Add some notes to remember what was all about.
  • Save
